Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Marrakech / Beni Mellal / Fez
Departure from Marrakech after breakfast. Arrival in Beni Mellal, visit Ain Aserdoune, have lunch, and then depart for Fez. Pass through the Middle Atlas and the beautiful, vast cedar forests. Stop at Azrou, Ifrane, and Imouzzer Kandar. Arrive in Fez, overnight stay in a hotel or riad
Day 2: Fez
Visit the most important historical monuments in the medina of Fez: the Bou Inania Madrasa, the Quaraouiyine Mosque (the oldest university in the world according to UNESCO), the tannery, the Jewish quarter Mellah, the artisan quarters, the Royal Palace from the outside, and the Marinid Tombs for a superb view over the entire city of Fez.
- Note: An official guide is highly recommended for this tour (fees starting from €60).
Day 3: Fez / Volubilis / Meknes
Departure after breakfast towards Volubilis to visit the ruins of the Roman city (allow €20 for a local official guide). Depart for Meknes to visit the recommended monuments of its medina; Bab Mansour, the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail, Hri Souani, and the Agdal Basin.
- Note: Similar to the visit to Fez, an official guide is highly recommended for this tour (fees starting from €40).
- Return to Fez at the end of the day.
Day 4: Fez / Rabat / Casablanca / Marrakech
Early departure towards Rabat for an exterior visit of Morocco's administrative capital; the Hassan Tower, and the Mohamed V Mausoleum. Depart for Casablanca to visit the Hassan II Mosque and the Corniche. Arrival in Marrakech, overnight stay in a charming riad in the medina.
Day 5: Marrakech
Begin the tour of the medina of Marrakech after breakfast to discover the historical sites of the ochre city; the Koutoubia, the madrasa, the Menara Gardens, the Bahia Palace, and Jamaa El Fna Square.
